Welcome
Thank you for your interest in my work.
I make contributions to this site at my leisure to chronicle my activities.
Call it art if you like, or craft if you must. I call it a journey.
ABOUT ME
About Me
My name is Phil. I retired in 2021 from a 43 year career in the insurance industry as a software developer and business analyst. I have also enjoyed a second career as a musician. Since 1997 I have been organist at the Congregational Church in Newtown, Connecticut. I have had other interests in art which I have casually pursued for the past several years. This site is a sort of journal to document my stuff, my thoughts, my artistic successes and failures, and share them with you. Please leave your comments and thoughts.
This website is just getting underway. There is a lot of content I will be adding, so please check back soon.
I haven't touched this site for the past few weeks as I was working on my Christmas card for 2023. It involved some clip bending and an interesting trial and error (many errors...) process with my lightbox. I ended up using a picture shot with my iPhone and edited it using GIMP photo processing software. A goal for me in 2024 is to get a better understanding of the photography part of my work.
It is called: Peace, Prosperity, and Love. It is Three Paper Clip figures with accessories. Each figure is about 9 inches tall. There about 275 paper clips in total. Each figure has a name. From left to right: Gahndi, Wags, and Marley.
