My Work and Thoughts on Paper Clips, Paper Cranes, and Music

Paper Clips - The Tree

This was the first  piece after my my 35 year hiatus from clip twisting.
The Slide Show is of several shots I took with  makeshift lightbox and my i-phone.   I  was moments away from giving it away to the Newtown Family Services Festival of Trees fund raiser in December 2022, and thought to keep a few images of the piece
I wanted to get an image to put on my 2022 Christmas Card.  So I trotted out some gear and improvised.  I didn't know about light boxes at the time, so I propped up some cardboard  boxes, turned off the lights, draped some large sheets of paper in the space, and pointed a few flashlights at the sculpture, then  clicked away with my phone.
This is when I realized the potential for photography.
Below is some more information about the process of making the piece.
This piece is rather large  Dimensions are approximately 12"x12"x12".  It consists of about 1,400 paper clips.  There are also 21 paper cranes made from 4" squares cut from a 1943 hymn book.  Most of the hymns are from the Christmas season, which was when the piece was donated.
I have no clue where this piece is today, or even if it has survived
