My Work and Thoughts on Paper Clips, Paper Cranes, and Music

Why the ChoralTutor domain name?

I purchased ChoralTutor.com in 2003 and created a web site to provide choir members with rehearsal resources. It provided voice parts in isolation for singers to hear and practice their parts. It was used by two choirs: The Newtown Choral Society, and Mak'hela, a community chorus of Western Massachusetts.

I was accompanist for the Newtown group at the time, and the site proved very useful for learning Ottorino Respighi's 'Lauda per la Natività del Signore', which was rather challenging.

Mak'hela was a Jewish choral group and many members enthusiastically logged in.

Not that I lost interest in the idea. It was successful. I simply moved on to other pursuits in the interest of earning a living. But I couldn't bear to lose the Domain Name. So I decided to use it for this website. I searched the WayBackMachine for screen shots of the original website, but have not been able to find one. If I stumble across such a thing, I will post it.
